Health Insurance for Thailand Retirement Visa

If you're planning to retire in Thailand, health insurance is not optional — it's mandatory for the O-A visa. Here's everything you need to know.

The Thai government requires:

**Outpatient coverage**: Minimum 40,000 THB

**Inpatient coverage**: Minimum 400,000 THB

**Insurance provider**: Must be from an approved list of Thai or international insurers
